Lapis lazuli is a  sodium aluminum silicate with an isometric crystal system. In Latin, the name means "blue stone". The finest Lapis Lazuli comes from Afghanistan. Lapis was used to entomb and decorate the Pharaohs of Ancient Egypt. It is known as a stone of royalty and spirituality.
